  • Action Plan for Diamond Open Access
    • Jointly developed by Science Europe, cOAlition S, OPERAS, and the French National Research Agency (ANR).
    • Aims to align and develop common resources for the Diamond Open Access ecosystem
    • Launched on February 3, 2022
  • ALMASI (Aligning and Mutualizing Nonprofit Open Access Publishing Services Internationally)
    • Funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe program.
    • Coordinated by European-led initiatives in collaboration with international partners.

    • A strategic briefing published by OPERAS, the European Research Infrastructure.
    • Aims to outline the transition from theoretical support for Diamond Open Access to its practical implementation.

  • Diamond Funding Navigator.
    • Developed and maintained by the TIB – Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology and University Library in Germany.
    • Launched in Late 2024
  • Diamond Year for DOAJ (2025 Review)
    • An annual strategic summary published by the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ.)
    • Documents the significant milestones achieved in the Diamond Open Access sector throughout 2025.
    • Released on December 19, 2025
  • The Diamond OA Standard (DOAS)
    • Developed by the DIAMAS consortium as a part of the of the Horizon Europe project.
    • Aims to To establish a comprehensive Extensible Quality Standard for Institutional Publishing (EQSIP).
    • Released on September 20, 2024 (Version 1.0)

  • European Diamond Capacity Hub. (EDCH)
    • Fiscally hosted by OPERAS and supported by a 3-year grant from the European Commission.
    • To serve as the central coordination and support center for Diamond Open Access in the European Research Area (ERA).
    • Launch Date: September 2025
  • ELADOAH Project
    • Research and development initiative focused on the German-speaking scholarly landscape.
    • Aims to develop a "Blueprint for Collaborative and Fair Diamond Open Access" (Blaupause für gemeinschaftliches und faires Diamond Open Access.)

  • Free Journals Network. (FJN)
    • Aims to promote and support journals that are free to both authors and readers (Diamond Open Access)
    • Launch Date: early 2018.

  • Global Summit on Diamond Open Access.
    • Co-organized by Redalyc, AmeliCA, UNESCO, CLACSO, cOAlition S, Science Europe, and ANR.
    • Serves as the primary meeting ground for the Global Alliance for Diamond Open Access.
    • Launch Date: 2023 (Inaugural Summit)

  • Joint Pledge for Open Research Europe. (ORE)
    • Co-founded by major regional and international organizations, including UNESCO, cOAlition S, Science Europe, Redalyc/AmeliCA, CLACSO, and ANR.

    • Produced by Lyrasis in collaboration with researchers from the University of Kansas and Indiana University Indianapolis.
    • Provides the first comprehensive, data-driven analysis of the Diamond Open Access landscape in the United States.
