“Siavash Farahbakhsh graduated from Politecnico di Milano with M.Sc. majoring in Management Engineering. Over the last eight years, he has had the chance of being member of five academic institutes in Iran as his home country, Italy and Germany. Experiencing different institutional settings in different countries from academic perspective has enlightened him the existing gaps in how scientific communities are working. With this view, he is currently working on science philosophy and its related communities to explain the unsolved gaps within emergence of new alternative scientific systems so called “Open Science”. In concrete terms, as PhD scholar at The Faculty of Management and Economics of Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, he focuses on the adaptation of the existing theoretical frameworks on emergence and institutional change to Open Science phenomena.”
