Born and (undergrad) educated in Russia; immigrated to the US (VT) in 1997; after working in academia and retail, graduated from Vermont Law School (VLS) in 2009; plan to graduate from GSLIS in May'13 and work at either an academic library (i.e., Dartmouth College, NH), a special library (VLS), or a state or federal government entity (Vermont Department of Libraries; state court system, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, etc.). Apart from traditional LIS duties, I’m hoping to be involved in outreach programs providing access to legal information including immigration law, teaching legal research to law students, and producing scholarship in comparative librarianship within the open access context (i.e., U.S. and Europe/Russia).
