Ida Widianingsih, is an associate professor at Public Administration Department and Head Graduate program in Public Administration, Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad), Indonesia. She also serves as an Executive Director at Center for Decentralization and Participatory Development Research, Facultyof Social and Political Sciences, Unpad. She holds a PhD from Flinders Institute of Public Policy and Management, Flinders University Australia (2014); Master degree in International development granted from Center for Development Studies, Flinders University, Australia (2005); and Bachelor’s in Public Administration from Unpad (1995). Her main research interests relates to public administration and development issues. Her current research entitled “Rural Urban Linkage and Local Government Capacity in Addressing Water Security Issues: Comparative Analyses in Indonesia, South Africa and South Australia” (A research grant from Indonesian Ministry of Research and Higher Education 2019-2021); “Indigenous Youth and Women Empowerment for Livelihood Improvement and Cultural Resilience in Kasepuhan Ciptagelar Village, West Java - Indonesia” (Funded by Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs 2019-2020). She’s been working closely with Assoc. Prof Janet Mc-Intyre Mills (Flinders University) for a collaborative research on “Living virtuously and well: towards non-anthropocentric stewardship” (2016-2019). She also won a competitive research grant project on Women’s Leadership in Public Sector: Learning from What’s Work” with Dr Helen McLaren and Assoc. Prof Cassandra Star of Flinders University, funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Australia (2019). Her works presented in various academic events and published as chapters in book, discussion papers, journal articles and papers for national and international conferences. She teaches some courses at Public Administration Department, Unpad, which include: Globalization and Development, Comparative Public Administration, Theory of Development Planning, Contemporary Issues in Public Administration, Research Methods for Public Administration, Public Performance Management. As the department established cooperation with the Graduate School of Governance SungKyunKwan University (SKKU) Korea, she became teaching assistance and main lecturer from 2013-2016.
