- The Brock Library Open Access Publishing Fund 2015-16 was announced January 2016.

- The Johns Hopkins Open Access Promotion Fund (OAPF), launched in 2012 and closed in January 2015.
- Sustains institutional membership to Biomed Central Journals and Nucleic Acid Research, in addition to an institutional license with PNAS.

- The COAP Fund (acronym for "SIU Carbondale Open-Access Publishing Equity Fund"), was suspended following the "final disposition of the FY16 state budget.".
