Jeffrey Pomerantz is an Associate Professor, and until recently the Director of Undergraduate Studies and the Director of the Field Experience program in the School of Information and Library Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. For the 2013-14 academic year, he is a Visiting Professor at the Information School at the University of Washington. He earned his Ph.D. from the School of Information Studies at Syracuse University, and his MS(LIS) from Simmons College. His research focuses on human-mediated information services, digital libraries, and the evaluation of information services. Recently he has collaborated on developing interdisciplinary and international approaches to digital library education and curriculum. He has taught fully-online and hybrid courses for over 10 years.
