Andrea has been with the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition (SPARC) since January 2012.

Andrea comes to SPARC with ten years in academic book publishing in a variety of roles including Marketing, Rights, and Permissions.

Andrea holds a Master’s degree in Communications from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a minor in Public Policy from the University of California, Los Angeles. For her master’s thesis she conducted an experiment testing reading comprehension in print and in digital, using Amazon’s Kindle.

Her role is to manage all communications channels and to carry SPARC’s advocacy messages to all scholarly communication stakeholders.
