- Brock University Library
- The Brock Library Open Access Publishing Fund 2015-16 was announced January 2016.
- Application form notes that fund will close upon initial fund circulation; since noted as closed.
- List of funded publications available.

- University of California, Santa Cruz
- The pilot fund was launched in the Fall of 2012, closing in December 2014.

- Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf (North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany)
- The fund launched 2011 and operates from 2011-2016 with support from Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft through the Open-Access Publishing Programme
- Limited to publication in fully (not hybrid) OA journals, listed in the DOAJ. Fees up to 2,000€.
- Funding was available to submitting or corresponding authors from Heinrich-Heine-University.
- The fund is no longer available since 01.11.2014.

- Ceased 1 January 2018, because "today, NWO believes that the academic world is sufficiently aware of OA publishing and its importance."
- The fund was announced on February 3, 2010.
- The fund paid both OA and hybrid journal fees and publication charges for OA book chapters.
- There was a "maximum budget of € 5000...per project".

- The Open Access Publishing Fund was closed following 2012 fund expenditure.

- Southern Illinois University Carbondale
- The COAP Fund (acronym for "SIU Carbondale Open-Access Publishing Equity Fund"), was suspended following the "final disposition of the FY16 state budget.".

- The fund was apparently launched in August 2008 and expired at the end of August 2009.

- As of January 31, 2014, the Libraries discontinued the Open Access Publishing Support Fund as the funds made available for this initiative have been encumbered.
