<p><b>New page</b></p><div>I am a Senior Lecturer in Science Communication at Manchester Metropolitan University, where my research involves using different media to re-connect science and society. My current research involves:<br />

1. The use of theatre to improve effective communication<br />
2. The relationship between science and poetry<br />
3. The role of the facilitator vs. that of the expert<br />
<br />
As well as being an active researcher, I am also an innovative and engaging lecturer, teaching topics ranging from Applied Physics to Public Engagement across the entire University, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I have a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice, and am also a fellow of the Higher Education Academy. <br />

My expertise in Science Communication means that I am also extremely experienced in developing and delivering effective Outreach and Public Engagement activities, specialising in working with audiences that are from a traditionally non-scientific background.</div>Nancypontika
