&lt;div&gt;I'm involved with open access since 2004 when I implemented the conference website for the Messina OA Workshop in Italy where most of the Italian Universities signed the Berlin declaration. After that I have supported the Open Access working with the open source community in the development of tools like Open Conference System, Open Journal System, e-Prints and DSpace. Since 2004 I'm a DSpace committer. I'm the architect and project leader behind DSpace-CRIS an open source extension of DSpace that aims to bring together Open Access repository and CRIS system preserving the role of the Open Access.&lt;br /&gt;
Now I work as CTO in an Italian company, 4Science, that provide support and services on top of open source software.&lt;br /&gt;
