Tung Tung Chan is a researcher at the Centre for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS) of Leiden University in the Netherlands. She is currently working on two institutional projects: NewHoRRIzon and Open Science Monitor. Her research focuses on analysing Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) in practice and the development of open science in European countries.

Her master thesis on China Scholarship Council (CSC)-funded PhDs in the Netherlands has informed ScienceGuide, and sparked discussions on the internationalization of doctoral education in the Netherlands via NOSop3 and VPRO. In 2018, she graduated from the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree in Research and Innovation in Higher Education (MARIHE). Tung Tung has a track record in consulting and teaching in various educational institutions. In 2013, she joined Erasmus University College in its start-up phase, and is responsible for academic skills curriculum development (coordinating) and execution (teaching). She obtained her bachelor’s degree in communication and media at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
